Welcome to Margo

Hello and welcome to Studio Margo!

Here you will find exercise classes and memberships that offer both live and recorded lessons that you can watch at a time that suits you.

Having taught Pilates for more than 13 years, I love to pass on what I have learned through teaching Pilates and Franklin Method techniques using mindful movement methods together with life-enhancing retreats and events.  Life should be easy and joyful.  You can make it so. True wellbeing starts from within.

Our bodies talk to us every day.  We wake up feeling different every day.  Join my movement classes and I will help you to restore  the connections between your mind and body through Pilates classes that are fun and enjoyable and enhance your overall wellbeing.  I believe movement should be restorative not punishing, and functional, not just the latest fashionable trend.  I am here to help you to de-stress and relax.    You will learn how the body works so you move well and with ease and confidence, improve your posture, become more mobile and flexible and re-energised.

There is no substitute for a live online class where you are able to join in from the comfort of your own home or wherever you are! You will always be with a community of others, able to experience a different movement class every day if you choose. Here’s some additional benefits.

1.    You have social interaction: Whilst we have been told to keep a physical distance, social interaction is incredibly important for all human beings. Having a live class means you have a live community of people to get to know and communicate with.

2.    You can ask me stuff. The ability to communicate with your teacher means that no matter what level you are, you can access the classes and benefit from them. Whether you need advice on an exercise, a clarification on an instruction, or want to share your thoughts on how classes could work better for you, all interaction is actively encouraged.

3.    Positive community: Investing your time in a community of people that are all taking the same positive action as you, encourages and supports you to keep seeing the other positive actions you make for yourself and others.

4.    A healthy routine: Having to be in your room, on your mat and ready for class at a set time provides a structure and routine which will not only help you keep your practice on track, but will also help you structure the rest of your time around it too.

So join me and my community of students and start to notice the benefits of regular practice and joyful movement experiences.

About Us:

Welcome to Studio Margo,  where you can benefit from attending regular movement classes that are restorative and relaxing, energising and calming,  so you will feel more at ease and able to adapt to ever-changing lifestyles.

Decide to treat your body well today.  Decide to improve your posture and balance.  Decide to replace re-occurring injuries, aches, pains, and stiffness with mobility, flexibility and ease of movement.

I work with people who are vulnerable, exceptional and everywhere in-between.  I work with all bodies and celebrate their differences.  I know that small changes happen through small acts over time. My movement teaching is based in Pilates and Franklin Method with input from movement masters I have learned from.   I  will help you to feel restored.  You will learn techniques to help you to relax so that you can refresh your muscles and release tension and stiffness.

Being kind to ourselves and our bodies is at the forefront of what I do. Through positive self-talk and imagery we can change the way our bodies feel and move. We can use our minds to improve our movement and feel incredible.  I want to help you learn the techniques I have learned so you too, can  appreciate your amazing body.  It’s not strange to help yourself to a renewed body experience, yet somehow we hold false ideas that exercise should be punishing and tough.  I am here to dispel that myth.

About me.

My Pilates experience began 20 years ago when I was working in marketing for a global hotel company. Travelling around the world, lugging heavy bags and sitting for hours on end, I was suffering from various aches and pains, back and neck problems.

My interest in Pilates grew as I found relief from shoulder stiffness, hip problems and backache by practising Pilates Matwork whenever and wherever I could. I discovered I couldn’t function without Pilates and my interest in becoming a teacher grew as I found such relief through regular practice that I wanted to share with others. In 2010 I left my stressful job and began my training to become a Pilates teacher.
